A glossy celebrity and lifestyle publication for the North West, the magazine is released on the 1st of each month and updated weekly on our glamorous new website.  Along with A-list interviews and exclusive competitions, we ensure that our readers have access to insider info on all the local goings on, from who’s been seen where, to how to get into upcoming invite-only events. With pages devoted to fashion, health & beauty, property, food & drink, travel, motors and more, we aim to provide the best features of a national magazine, with a local flavour.

This month we’re launching a quest to find the Face of Bratz 2007. Does your child have what it takes to represent one of the UK’s leading children’s retailers? If so, they could win £1000 of designer clothes, a modelling portfolio and representation with Boss Models!

If you’re looking a bit worse for wear after the winter, a chemical peel may be just the thing to give you that much needed lift. We’ve teamed up with st. ann’s facial clinic to offer the magazine readers the chance to win a complete series of four chemical peels, worth £230! At Manchester’s st. ann’s clinic they use some of the lightest peels on the market (AHA & TCA) which means less disruption to your lifestyle.

To enter either of these competitions, or to access exclusive online interviews, features, events coverage and more, check out our recently re-launched website.

oneUp

OneUp – the first magazine for single parents and step parents

OneUp was launched in May 2006 for the benefit of the estimated 2.5 million single parents and 1 million step parents in the UK. Unique in its target audience it has developed over the year to become a welcome resource which, without preaching, provides information, inspiration, empathy, entertainment and opinion.

Beneath its glossy surface OneUp connects to its readers by unashamedly celebrating the achievements of single and step parents and challenging the clichés and generalisations about ‘broken homes’ promoted by the mainstream media and many ministers – whilst honestly confronting reality and the difficulties we face. OneUp has been received with enthusiasm not just in the UK but in English-speaking countries worldwide. This magazine new and unique – and not just to Britain. It maintains a viewpoint centred around the immediate concerns and issues facing UK families whilst looking outward and taking lessons from other countries to give an internationally relevant resource.

From anecdote to inspiration, via caring for yourself as well as your children, healthy/green living, holidays, financial and legal updates, celebs and fiction, OneUp is proving to be a rich and intelligent read.

The first edition of total:spec magazine came out in October, 2005. Since then we have covered music, politics and fashion each month and built a growing reputation for creative design and strong editorial values. At the heart of the magazine are the feature interviews and photo spreads which have made our name. So far we have interviewed The Sugababes, James Morrison, Jake Gyllenhall, Goldfrapp, Pharrell Williams, Sister Scissors, Ordinary Boys and Will Young, amongst others, and featured fashion spreads from around the world.
We cover politics and fashion in a straightforward and original way, and promote original talent whenever we can. As a result we have a thriving (and slightly fanatical) MySpace following and through our sponsorship of music and other events, a loyal and growing readership, particularly amongst young people. In 2006 we were Time Out's Best Buy@Frank's, and in our readers survey at the end of 2006 our readers told us the writing in the magazine is exceptional or good (82%); that they like the design of the magazine (77% say it is exceptional or good) and feel the mix of content in the magazine is, again, exceptional or good (89%).
